GPOP Conference

Each year, GPOP partners with Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) to host our own conference on the weekend leading into the annual CICan conference. The Conference Committee works diligently to provide a conference packed with learning opportunities that members can take back to their campuses and apply directly to their roles.

The weekend includes a GPOP networking event that provides members with invaluable contacts, and first-time attendees will find a warm welcome. Our conferences have traditionally been opened with remarks from CICan President and CEO, and then continue with inspiring speakers offering ideas and insights on relevant topics. The program also typically includes roundtable discussions that afford focused opportunities to share best practices and seek advice from trusted peers. A conference favourite!

Whether or not you’re able to remain for the subsequent CICan conference, you’re sure to find that friendships and networks forged through the course of GPOP’s annual gathering will prove invaluable.

Important Update: Please note that there will be no conference taking place in 2025. Plans however, are underway to resume this important annual event in 2026 where the event will take place in beautiful Ottawa!

Annual General Meeting

As outlined in our by-laws, GPOP holds an AGM for all members, on a date determined by the Board of Directors, usually around the end of May.
