Heather M. Fehn, Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Board of Trustees, The College of New Jersey
Technology in Your Board and President’s Offices Heather Fehn has served as the Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Board of Trustees in the Office of the President at The College of New Jersey since April 1996. She graduated in 1994 from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and in 1996 with a Master of Arts in Counseling and Personnel Services. During her time at the College, Heather has served two presidents and over 30 trustees. She has facilitated the work of 13 presidential/executive level searches, has served as an adjunct instructor in the First Seminar Program at TCNJ teaching courses on student leadership, and as an advisor for the Hillel/Jewish Student Union.
Heather has served as a member of the Board Professionals Leadership Group (BPLG) of the Association of Governing Board’s since 2002 and was elected Chair for 2010-2011. Heather chaired the committee coordinating the 2009 national conference and presents regularly on the use of technology, and on presidential and executive level searches. She currently serves as a member of the Professional Development Committee. Heather has chaired the Content Committee for the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education (NAPAHE) since 2011 and has coordinated the programs for three national conferences. She has been elected Chair of the Conference Committee for 2014-15.
In 2010 Heather was elected to serve as a member of the board of the Har Sinai Congregation in Pennington, New Jersey, was elected to serve as a member of the congregation’s Executive Board in 2011. In 2012 she was elected to a two year term as President. Heather was elected to serve as a board member of Woods Services, an organization based in Langhorne, Pennsylvania providing support and services to children and adults with special needs and challenges in 2012.
Sarah Brathwaite, Administrative Assistant to the President, Durham College
Peeling Back the Onion – The Impact of Implementing College Records Management Systems Sarah Brathwaite is the administrative assistant to the President at Durham College. Sarah has more than 10 years experience providing administrative support to senior level executives in both academic and corporate environments. Previous employers include; University of Ontario Institute of Technology, York University, Direct Energy, and the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism. Sarah was involved in implementing a Common Records Schedule (CRS) at York University and is currently the project lead for implementing the college wide Common Records Schedule at Durham College. As part of her professional development, Sarah has been continuing her studies at Durham College and will receive her Certificate in Project Management in the Fall of 2014.
